The Director of GTM Systems Strategy ensures that our global Sales organization is positioned to achieve their highest potential by optimizing Sales opportunities across the organization. We set high targets for our GTM teams and work to exceed them every quarter. Part of our success comes from having world-class business systems, data, and processes. Paylocity is seeking a full-time Director of GTM Systems Strategy to lead and realize our full potential in the tech stack space. This person will be responsible for maturing and optimizing our tech stack strategy, will manage relationships with key vendors, and will help ensure Paylocity teams are taking maximum advantage of all our systems and tools. If you can find innovative ways to leverage cutting edge technology and can motivate teams to take full advantage of the tools we provide them, then this is the role for you. 


Expectations for Success 

  • You will bring Paylocity’s disparate systems strategies together into one seamless package, where system overlap is minimized, and new systems purchases fill identified gaps in the stated strategy. 
  • You will know you are doing an exceptional job when business leaders consistently seek you out to help tackle their gnarliest systems challenges.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills to juggle multiple priorities from various stakeholders.
  • You can prioritize ruthlessly, operating within a budget and maximizing the value created by spend.
  • You are comfortable bridging the gap between our most technical teams and our most motivated GTM personnel. 
  • Define the technology roadmap for sales systems, ensuring it supports business requirements and is future-proof. 
  • Ensure systems support efficient lead generation, sales pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting. 
  • Drive the digital transformation of the sales function, leveraging emerging technologies and data to improve sales outcomes. 
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance, and Operations to ensure seamless integration between sales systems and other key business systems. 
  • Work with marketing teams to ensure smooth integration of lead-generation tools and CRM systems, improving lead qualification and handoff to sales teams. 
  • Drive the adoption and effective use of sales systems and tools among the sales teams. 
  • Lead change management efforts related to the adoption of new sales systems, processes, and technologies. 
  • Champion a culture of innovation within the sales organization, encouraging the adoption of new tools, techniques, and methodologies. 
  • Oversee and motivate team members, providing direction, coaching, and fostering a collaborative environment. 
  • Make high-level decisions, balancing long-term vision and short-term execution needs. 
  • Monitor team performance, provide feedback, set goals, and ensure continuous improvement. 

A Day in the Life 

  • Develop robust tech stack strategy, with a focus on Sales/Go To Market teams 
  • Work with sales and business leaders to understand their software and data needs 
  • Manage vendor relationships, including quarterly business reviews and consistent usage tracking 
  • Partner with Procurement and Enabling Tools team to drive seamless buying process across the business 
  • Always be at the forefront of cutting-edge systems and technology 
  • Tie revenue creation metrics to system changes/utilization and ensure we have the greatest possible ROI on our software spend 
  • Evaluate different software vendors and ensure we consistently have the best fit 

Experience 

  • Deep knowledge of revenue tech stack space, including major systems and industry trends 
  • 7+ years managing global systems teams (e.g., CRM administration, business application strategy, business systems admins, etc.) 
  • 7+ years leading cross-functional teams through complex systems implementations 
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership position, with a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams  
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Deep understanding of the procurement process, including RFP creation, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiation

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $148,000 - $274,800/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
