User Experience is the function that applies principles and techniques of discovery, research, design, and content strategy to define the experience a user has in a product.

 

What you'll Do:

  • Define and evolve the visual language of our design system across typography, color, spacing, motion, and shape
  • Design, maintain, and expand a robust icon and illustration library that reflects brand values and product needs
  • Deliver high-quality, polished visual assets for components, states, and patterns used across web and mobile
  • Create and document visual specs and reference design for Figma libraries, ensuring consistency and scalability
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product and UX leadership to ensure consistency across the end-to-end experience
  • Develop visual guidance, templates, and signature moments that drive brand expression across the product
  • Collaborate with product designers, UX writers, and engineers to ensure visual integrity from design through implementation  
  • Conduct visual audits and accessibility reviews to identify opportunities for refinement and alignment
  • Serve as a craft mentor, helping raise the bar for visual design across the org

Required Experience

  • 5–8+ years of experience in visual, brand, or product design with a strong systems or platform focus
  • An exceptional portfolio showcasing visual craft, icon/illustration design, and system-level thinking
  • Deep expertise in layout, color, typography, visual hierarchy, and composition
  • Demonstrated ability to design cohesive icon sets and product illustrations that work across scales and platforms
  • Mastery of Figma and vector-based tools (e.g., Illustrator, Affinity Designer)
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining visual design standards in a systemized product environment
  • Strong ability to give and receive design critique with empathy and clarity
  • A collaborative outlook and an ability to advocate for design quality across disciplines

Preferred Experience

  • Experience creating and maintaining components in a design system (Figma variants, auto layout, etc.)
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies or how visual design translates into code (React, HTML/CSS)
  • Motion design or micro-interaction skills using tools like After Effects, Lottie, or Framer
  • Strong understanding of accessibility best practices and how they intersect with visual design
  • Background in brand design or marketing visuals that inform product expression
