Position Overview 

Take this excellent opportunity to join the Finance department at Paylocity by applying for the Billing Analyst position. In the Billing Analyst role, you’ll review client accounts to ensure compliance with key Sarbanes Oxley revenue controls. Additional responsibilities include reconciling third party reporting and analyzing client accounts for maximizing revenue. The Billing Analyst will report to the Billing Manager. 

Performance Objectives 

The below represents the primary responsibilities of the position. Other duties may be assigned as needed. 

• Perform monthly and quarterly analysis to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley revenue key controls. 
• Work independently to reconcile and analyze reporting provided by third parties in order to bill clients accurately under key Sarbanes Oxley revenue controls, expected to use their experience in the role to identify areas that require further investigation. 
• Review and analyze client billing accounts for all new clients, including accurate pricing based on agreed terms and conditions. Responsible to research and resolve any billing discrepancies before clients start processing payrolls with Paylocity. 
• Responsible for training and developing Billing Specialists through coaching, mentoring, and assisting them in handling daily tasks including any communication with clients. 
• Support accounting team with billing analysis and research as needed for quarter close accrual and deferred revenues entries. 
• Drive a continuous improvement mindset through identifying automation opportunities, process improvements, or improved reporting capabilities to support decision making across the organization. 
• Performs routine audits to billing systems as necessary, collaborates with management to review results. 
• Support Suite Billing implementation testing, as well as any necessary legacy system updates for new product offerings. 
• Other ad hoc analyses and billing financial modeling upon manager request.

Education and Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance or Business Administration. 
• 2-5 years of corporate finance experience, exposure to a public company environment a plus. 
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities. 
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel with an emphasis on Vlookup and Pivot Table functions preferred. 
• Demonstrated ability to excel in a high growth environment; aptitude to develop processes beyond their current state; intellectual curiosity. 
• Desire to be an active business partner. 

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $46,037 - $62,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.  This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.
