Product Strategy & Leadership:
- Own and drive product strategy with a strong focus on customer retention, user satisfaction, and business impact.
- Develop and execute a customer-centric product roadmap that balances user engagement, revenue growth, and market expansion.
- Define and manage business cases for new and existing products, ensuring alignment with customer needs, competitive positioning, and corporate objectives.
- Ensure that pricing, monetization, and packaging strategies support both customer adoption and long-term profitability.
- Collaborate with leadership to assess product performance, retention trends, and market opportunities.
- Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and customer research to identify enhancements that improve user satisfaction and engagement.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including customer satisfaction (CSAT), Net Promoter Score (NPS), retention rates, and user adoption metrics, in addition to financial performance indicators.
Product Development & Execution:
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, ensuring delivery of high-value, customer-centric solutions that enhance engagement and retention.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, UX, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment with customer needs and market demand.
- Use data-driven insights to refine product offerings based on customer behavior, feedback, and market trends.
- Ensure products are developed with scalability and cost efficiency, supporting long-term user retention and adoption.
Innovation & Customer Growth:
- Identify market trends, customer pain points, and emerging technologies that improve customer experiences and increase long-term loyalty.
- Foster a culture of experimentation, innovation, and continuous improvement, ensuring product decisions are informed by customer feedback and real-world usage data.
- Drive the adoption of AI, automation, and analytics to enhance product capabilities and deliver greater customer value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment:
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure product strategies align with customer retention and satisfaction goals.
- Present business cases and product impact reports to executive leadership, ensuring transparency on customer engagement, retention trends, and product success metrics.
- Establish strong customer feedback loops to refine products, address pain points, and enhance the overall user experience.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product leaders and Product Managers, instilling a customer-first mindset and focus on delivering meaningful product experiences.
- Foster cross-functional alignment with influence between Product, Customer Success, and Sales teams to ensure product investments align with customer needs and market opportunities.
- Ensure product leaders within the team are fluent in customer insights, user experience metrics, and retention strategies, embedding a customer- driven approach into product decision-making.
- Create mechanisms (systems, processes, or strategies) that instill PCTY values within the organization.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business management or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership position in a fast-paced SaaS environment, preferably in Financial Services.
- 5+ years of leading Product Management teams, preferably with demonstrable growth in each role.
- Proven track record of developing and launching successful SaaS based products from introduction to retirement.
- Proven success in driving revenue growth through product strategy, pricing, and go-to-market execution.
- Strong background in agile development, project management, and operational leadership.
- Proven ability to lead operational strategy, balancing execution efficiency with risk management.
- Strong background in metrics tracking, performance analysis, and business reporting.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, managing product roadmaps, and ensuring on-time product delivery.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and ensure alignment on business objectives.
- Excellent executive and stakeholder communication skills, with a track record of presenting to and collaborating with executive leadership and key business stakeholders.
- Experience working closely with Finance, Sales, and Marketing to align product decisions with customer engagement, growth strategies, and financial outcomes.
- Strong track record of building business cases, analyzing financial performance, and optimizing revenue streams.
- Experience managing product portfolios with integrated solutions contributing to top-line revenue growth.
- Expertise in Spend management products is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
- Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.
