As part of the Sales & Marketing team, you’ll help us solve challenges and succeed as you grow and understand the unique needs of our clients and tailor easy-to-use solutions to deliver the performance they need.


With a position in Sales & Marketing, you’ll strengthen our relationships with clients, anticipate their needs, and think outside the box to unlock new possibilities.


This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements.  You must be available five days per week during designated work hours.  The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. This may include adjustments to on-site requirements or schedule expectations, as necessary. 

  

Position Overview

The Group Creative Director will oversee our growing in-house creative studio, including art directors/designers, copywriters, video and visual producers as well as the agency partners helping us bring our brand to life. This role leads and inspires creative and multi-media teams, setting the overall creative vision and strategy for projects, while ensuring brand consistency and aligning artistic expression with business goals.

· Drive the development of compelling brand, design, and content that elevates our value proposition and positions Paylocity as the leading innovator across HCM, Finance, and IT solutions

· Demonstrate mastery of brand tone of voice, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and channels

· Develop a best-in-class comprehensive brand and creative vision and strategy that aligns with business goals and drives awareness of our innovation leadership 

· Oversee End-to-End Creative Development: From brainstorming and storyboarding to design, motion, and production, ensure all creative outputs meet the highest standards and align with Paylocity’s mission

· Elevate Creative Quality: Balance speed with craftsmanship, ensuring every piece of content is both timely and impactful

· Refine/refresh and maintain a strong brand identity across all marketing channels, ensuring consistency in messaging and design

· Lead, mentor, develop and grow a talented team of visual creatives, writers, multi-media experts, project managers and other creatives to foster a culture of creativity and collaboration

· Collaborate with product and UX teams to ensure all design and creative elements create an optimal experience across our platforms

· Work closely with campaign team and marketing operations, leveraging data and analytics to measure and maximize impact. This includes near-term growth marketing initiatives as well as longer term brand and integrated marketing plans. 

· In close partnership with events team, uplevel overall creative approach to individual (owned and trade) event experiences

· Bring our industry-leading solutions, value proposition and inspiring customer stories to life in impactful and immersive ways across all touchpoints

· Champion Social-First creative ideas: Lead the creation of social-first content that aligns with Paylocity’s brand purpose, engages our audience, and resonates with the broader cultural conversation.

· Manage relationships with external agencies, fostering collaboration and excellence across both high-budget and nimble, fast-turn projects


Requirements

· 15+ years of creative leadership experience, including at least 5 years in an in-house Creative Director role in B2B SaaS

· Visual/brand strategy focus

· Experience optimizing a client-side creative function (e.g., tech, AI, fintech, or innovative consumer product), including team structure, processes, and creative workflows

· Experience defining, implementing and maintaining an end-to-end internal agency operating model, from intake to conception to delivery, reporting, and retrospectives

· Ability to coach, lead, mentor and inspire a diverse team responsible for high volume, high velocity, high quality creative work

· Proven ability to define and own brand direction for innovative, category-defining products

· Deep expertise creating high-performing deliverables for integrated B2B and B2C campaigns across digital, social, film/video and emerging platforms

· A big-idea thinker who can articulate and sell bold creative concepts to executive teams and other stakeholders

· Highly proactive with the ability to persuade, influence and lead cross-functionally, bringing creative concepts to life across teams and channels

· Skilled at fostering cross-functional collaboration, partnering closely with leadership to align creative vision with broader business objectives

· A collaborative, people-first leader who inspires, motivates, and mentors teams to deliver creative work that exceeds expectations

 

Physical requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, 

typically 7-8 hours a day.

• Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone 

systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

The base pay range for this position is $127,400 - $200,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
