The Staff Software Test Engineer serves as a technical leader and architect of testing solutions across our organization. As a Staff Engineer, you'll drive technical excellence in test automation, define system-level testing strategies, and foster a culture of quality-first development while mentoring engineering teams. This role represents a significant opportunity to shape our quality practices and influence engineering excellence at scale.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise-wide test automation frameworks and strategies

• Define and implement comprehensive test strategies at system level

• Drive adoption of testing best practices across multiple teams

• Optimize test processes and automation to accelerate delivery cycles

• Provide expert-level feedback on system design and architecture

• Coordinate cross-team test execution and strategy alignment

• Develop and track quality metrics to measure effectiveness

• Identify and address quality gaps across product areas

• Lead technical discussions and architectural decisions for testing infrastructure

• Drive quality-first culture initiatives organization-wide


Team Collaboration

• Contribute and participate in opportunities for technical innovation and experimentation

• Collaborate with product owners on feature requirements

• Participate in hiring and interviewing processes


Growth & Development

• Lead technical discussions and architectural decisions for test automation

• Mentor junior engineers in testing best practices and automation

• Drive quality initiatives across multiple teams

• Provide technical guidance on testing strategies

• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives and standards


Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in software testing and automation


Technical Skills

• Expert-level proficiency in automated testing frameworks and tools

• Experience with cloud-based testing environments

• Deep understanding of performance and security testing concepts

• Version control systems expertise (Git preferred)

• Database concepts and SQL knowledge

• Strong understanding of microservices architecture

• Deep expertise in multiple programming languages and testing frameworks ((Cypress, Playwright, Selenium)

• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and system design

• Experience leading enterprise-wide technical initiatives

• Proven track record of developing scalable test solutions

• Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Experience with agile development methodologies

• Strong proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
